BAGS OF HOPE PROGRAM

We are “Blessed to be a Blessing” to our community with the distribution of food as well as other services offered here at Visible Hope.

Eligibility Guidelines

You will be asked to self-declare that you meet the income guidelines set by the Department of Economic Security. Eligible individuals can receive supplemental emergency food boxes twice a year. We can only deliver to a house or apartment and the address must be attached to your identification. We will only issue food boxes to that household twice a year, regardless whether it’s a different person living in the house or not. Our food boxes will contain more of chicken as the main meat but at times depending on the donations received we will have beef and other meats. Please select the meat of your eating standards in the form attached below.

Each food box will only contain enough food for at least 1-week. A sample box may contain:

  • (2) selections of bagged chicken leg quarters, breast, chicken fingers or legs
  • 1/LB. of white/brown rice
  • 1/LB of dry beans: pinto, great northern, lima etc.

Senior Food Assistance

Of those we serve each week, 18% are seniors, many of whom are living on fixed incomes and limited resources.
